Welcome to the Mount Hope Bay Model Yacht Club.  We are registered with the American Model Yacht Association as AMYA Club #257.

The club was started by a small group of residents of the Village at Mount Hope Bay in 2007 to build and sail Soling 1 meter radio controlled model sail boats.  The mission was, and still is, to have some fun through friendly competition.

The club has grown and now half the membership comes from outside the Village and in 2019 we added a second class of boat: the DragonFlite 95.

The Solings race on Tuesdays and the DF95’s race on Thursdays.  Both classes of boats race on the tidal salt water cove at the end of Schooner Drive in Tiverton, RI.  Racing starts promptly at 11:00.

Please come and join us on the shore, try your hand and you may find that you’d like to know more.  What you will find is a fun loving group that is friendly, helpful and of all levels of skills.
