2023 Patriot Travelers Trophy
The Traveler Series
\u2022 Five, one day events spread across eastern New England running from
May to September or October
\u2022 There would be one regatta per month.
\u2022 Each regatta is a one day event, Saturday the primary with Sunday as
the rain date.
\u2022 Each regatta would have a first warning at 11 am with no race starts after
3 pm.
\u2022 The entire series would count as a single regional scoring event towards
national points ranking and would require a minimum of ten(10) boats per
event to qualify.
\u2022 The events are open to all registered DF95 skippers
\u2022 A skipper can use 4 of the five (or six) events toward national points
\u2022 Structure the series to provide a wide range of sailing experiences: fresh
& salt water, heavy and light wind venues, rural and urban settings
Organizing Authority Responsibilities
\u2022 Develop schedule based on club inputs \u2022 Develop and post NORs
\u2022 Manage event registration
\u2022 Provide prizes for podium finishes
\u2022 Manage national points standing
Host group responsibilities
\u2022 Have the club schedule and commit to a TT event \u2022 Provide location and course
\u2022 Provide a race director (optional)
\u2022 Provide a scorekeeper
\u2022 If possible, provide a chase boat
