Mount Hope Bay Model Yacht Club (MHBMYC)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club was started by a small group of residents of the Village at Mount Hope Bay in 2007 to build and sail Soling 1-meter radio-controlled model sailboats. The mission was, and still is, to have some fun through friendly competition.<\/p>\n

In 2019 we added a second class of boat: the Dragon Flite 95.<\/p>\n

DF95s race on Tuesdays on the tidal saltwater cove at the end of Schooner Drive in Tiverton. Racing starts promptly at 11.00.<\/p>\n

Starting in May 2026 we’ve added a second location. Either Thursday’s or Friday’s (we send out email’s to the racing community for which day we sail) we will be sailing at Grinnell’s Beach pier on the North side. We have been granted use of the dingy dock to launch and retrieve the DF 95’s. Racing will start promptly at 5:00 PM<\/p>\n

Please come and join us on the shore, try your hand and you may find that you\u2019d like to know more. The club has loaner DF 95’s to try out the sailing. Advanced notice is required, along with $25 non-refundable on the day of sailing.<\/p>\n

\u00a0What you will find is a fun-loving group that is friendly, helpful, and of all levels of skills.<\/p>\n

We are registered with the American Model Yachting Association https:\/\/www.theamya.org\/<\/p>\n
