Welcome to the Mount Hope Bay Model Yacht  Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club was started by a small group of residents of the Village at Mount Hope Bay in 2007 to build and sail Soling <\/span>1-meter radio-controlled<\/span> model <\/span>sailboats<\/span>. <\/span>The mission was, and still is, to have some fun through friendly competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>n 2019 we added a second class of boat: the <\/span>DragonFlite<\/span> 95.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>DF95s <\/span>have gained in popularity around the country.<\/span>  DF95s <\/span>race on <\/span>Tuesdays<\/span> with the following T<\/span>hursday<\/span> as a weather day<\/span>.  <\/span>They <\/span>race <\/span>on the tidal<\/span>, <\/span>saltwater<\/span> cove at the end of Schooner Drive<\/span> in Tiverton<\/span>.<\/span> Emails will be sent out to the group on or before race days with specific times.<\/p>\n

 MHBMYC welcomes our neighboring model yacht clubs to join us. Ask us to be added to our email list for race day information<\/span><\/p>

Please come and join us on the shore, try your hand and you may find that you\u2019d like to know more.  What you will find is a <\/span>fun<\/span>–<\/span>loving <\/span>group that is friendly, helpful<\/span>,<\/span> and of all levels of skills<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
